7 Wonders of the World... Raw Power...75,000 gallons per second! Niagara Falls in all it's glory.

View from the Observation Deck |
We decided to save a little money and walk - after we paid an arm and 3 legs for the tickets to all the "non-comercialization" of the falls. Our first stop was the elevator shaft from one of the old power plants. The rest of the plant fell into the river many years ago but the elevator shaft will stands and it takes about 30 seconds to get all the way to the bottom.

Pretty deep gorge! |
The day before we decided to take the northern bridge across the international line - and paid for it by waiting for an hour... We should have taken the Niagara crossing - at least we would have had a nice view!
 |
First view of the falls! |
Ticket One - Cave of the winds - this is the point where unless you have an underwater camera it's time to put it away.
 |
Yup, that's other folks getting soaked under Bridalveil Falls at the Cave of the Winds. |
We forgot Dashboard Duck so the boys decided to visit Tesla.
Yup, we are still alive and kicking!!!

Just above Bridal Veil |
Ticket 2 - Maid of the Mist Boat ride - Yet another - select photo times carefully to keep the camera dry!
 |
Somebody is excited! |
American and Bridalveil Falls
Horseshoe Falls - the plume of compression water was amazing - (see photo one).
Ticket 3 - We headed back toward the car and the aquarium. I'm glad it was in the package deal because it wasn't worth the ticket price.
We also had tickets for the Discovery Center, Trolley, and a big screen movie about the area. In all a really good visit. Kind of overwhelming with power and people though.
