Everglades - round 2
We decided to checkout another section of the Everglades. This is the only place you will find alligators and crocadiles in America. Some like fresh water some like salt water!
Our first stop (after the visitors center to get KimChee his super cool tri-fecta patch) was Royal Palms Wayside where the boys helped the volunteer ranger do her presentation.
We walked the boardwalk and it was interesting to see all the air plants. I would love to see them bloom but I don't think I would want to be here in that weather!
We saw (well heard first) this super cool bird that was walking across the lily pads with it's super wide feet.
Everglades park was hit really hard by the Hurricane about 2 years ago. Both Gulf Coast and Flamingo Visitors Centers are in temporary buildings. Lots of trails need some maintenance but we made the best of it!
We tried canoeing again. Took 2 tries since our first canoe had a leak. We also adjusted our helmsman.
We took a sunset walk out Snake Bight trail - yet another trail that needed some help!
Time to head back to civilization (we didn't have cell service for 5 days!).

The campground was pretty empty and dark so the boys turned the lights on their bikes and we had some fun with extended exposure photography.
