Roswell - The truth is out there!!!

We have been using Atlas Obscura to figure out some of the places that we wanted to go.  We were driving right through Roswell and had to decide if we were going to do the bypass or right into downtown.  We decided to go downtown to see the International UFO museum and Research Center.  After all the space science stops we have done we decided to see what else was going on.

 Time to check out some alien life

 The whole town gets into the feeling.

 The Atlas Obsucra reason we stopped here was for the Iron Cross.  During WWII there was a German POW camp outside of Roswell.  One of the jobs they had them do was line the irrigation ditches with rocks.  Without approval of the supervisors they created an Iron Cross into the side.  Over the years it has been seen as offensive and covered with cement but in recent history it started to appear from behind the cement and the memories and they decided to turn it into a POW/MIA memorial.
