Albuquerque - 2/2 Nuclear History

Being in New Mexico was a good place to teach the kids about nuclear history.

 It's amazing the number of things that were commonly used in homes over the years that contained radioactive materials.

 After Tulsa we have been listening to our Woody G CD and the Grand Coolie Dam information.  It was neat to see the connection to the hydro power and nuclear development.

 They had a reconstruction of the scaffold that they built to drop the gadget in the desert and see what would happen with the reaction.

 Of course they had a little newer history as well...
