Remember when I said Gherkin had made only 2 requests for this trip of places to return to that we had done on previous trips? Well we made it to request #2 in St. Louis -
The City Museum. We spent almost an entire day here. Our RV park was only about 8 blocks away so we walked, knowing full well in the course of the day it was supposed to snow. We went down around 11 in order to be able to take advantage of the outdoor section before the snow started. It's hard to describe the City Museum except to say it's lots of recycled materials put together to make places to climb, slide and discover.

By the time we were done with lunch it had started snow. We headed back to the museum for 4 more hours of fun.

One of the most amazing things at the city museum is the 10 story slide. The building used to be a shoe factory and the slide they would throw completed shoes down is now a slide for people. It is contained in a space called "The Cave" which also holds an old organ. My apologies for the "darling children" trying to get my attention. The sound is amazing!
One of the highlights for the boys was the "no-skate park" Where Gherkin channeled his inner Ninja Warrior.
KimChee was not to be out done. And he even stuck the dismount!
With just a little time before dark we bundled up and headed back to the RV park through the snow. We stayed warm and snug!
