On the road - Toltec Mounds
We decided that it was a short detour from Little Rock to our next location to head to the Toltec Mounds. We maybe should have checked the guidebook a little closer before we tried to drive there with the trailer...
The mounds were for the most part plowed under when the settlers came to create farms but some remain. They have marked off where the "lost" mounds are. There is a relationship between three of the mounds and the solstices which was pretty neat to see. The boys also got to experience life as the early people with blow guns and pelts.
