We decided to spent the afternoon down in Galveston since we needed to see the ocean. We started the afternoon at the
Bryan Museum. It was neat to see saddles up close as well as different pieces of Texas history from the missions to the Battle of Independence. They had an amazing diorama of the final battle.

After a walk on the beach we headed to the
Galveston Naval Museum which is a collection of 2 WWII boats that are open for self guided tours.
