Growing, Growing, Growing
Summer for me really starts when the garden is in. Due to constraints to time (planted June 30) and space (what can't Gherkin walk on) this is my garden...

More growing news...
Gherkin is now 2'9" according to our wall growth chart and 24 lbs on a good day. He thinks he is even bigger and can drive the Jeep.
He started summer preschool on the 18th (was supposed to start on the 15 but Montezuma had his revenge for 10 days - arggg). This is a photo from his first day - lunchbox and all!
We think we have a growing family out in our backyard. After the whole birds nest fiasco we have a pair of hawks that hangs out in our yard. This was one of them hanging out on our upper deck - it's a bit fuzzy since it's hard to photograph through dirty windows :)
Back to the garden! This Monday we had the first fruits of our labor from the garden. A yellow squash and some mixed greens to add to our salad! Summer is definitely here!
