Summer Fun
Summer is a time for kicking back, enjoying life and getting to experience some new and exciting things. Gherkin found the box of sidewalk chalk this weekend. He was determined that it needed to be open and the sidewalk needed a little "Bert" from Mary Poppins.
The best part of this photo is the chalk all over his face!
When it was time to clean up he carefully put the chalk in the box and carried it back to the garage. What a good little boy :)
On our way home from the Cottage we stopped off to see Grandma J and Grandpa J. In the backyard we saw C-Man's (cousin) old play structure. We have been looking for something to use in the basement during the winter and asked if we could take it home. It was a resounding, "Yes". So now we have a new play space in the back yard.
Other times he just goes for gusto...
Yesterday Gherkin experienced his first thunderstorm out in the open. I watched the clouds roll in and wasn't sure it was going to dump but it did. He stood out there for a bit trying to figure out what was going on.
Then he ran for the safety of the metal umbrella :) I decided the best plan was to head inside, where we watched the rest of the 10 minute dump. I had just watered my "vegetable garden" so I guess that called in the rain - kind of like washing your car!
