Rockin' Chattanooga - 2/4

We got to see the "harder" parts of Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain.  We headed up the mountain to take in Ruby Falls.
All the rock they cleared in the 40's to build then elevator shaft went into building the "castle"

Interesting formations on the way down

Family Photo!

They have about a 10 minute light show in the falls room which made for some interesting photos.
After Ruby Falls we headed the rest of the way up the mountain, Sweet gritting her teeth from the elevation change and a sinus issue.  We headed to Point Park which commemorates part of the Civil War.  We were stoked to have the National Parks OPEN!!!!!
Gate to the park - can you see the Army Corps of Engineers influence?

Lookout Point
After lunch we headed to Rock City.  It was also created in the 40's to take advantage of the new tourism to the area.  A woman designed it all in her back garden.
Tight places to squeeze through

Beautiful Vistas
They have a neat section that takes advantage of the "new craze" of day glow paint in the late 50's and 60's.  It's all nursery rhymes.
Sometimes I feel like we are living in a shoe!
