I know you have all been waiting for us to catch up!!! I can't believe that I'm almost a month behind in posting. November has been a whirlwind month with so many miles under the wheels.
We kicked off the month in Asheville, North Carolina. After a little "home" time settling in we took our first adventure to Chimney Rock State Park. Stairs, Stairs and More Stairs!!!
Chimney Rock is best known for it's part in the movie "Last of the Mohicans"
We complete the first round of stairs up to the waterfall and then headed toward the iconic rock.
Yup! It looks like a chimney. There were stairs, stairs and more stairs up to the top of the rock.
Alright movie buffs - what movie did Lake Lure play a big part in?

After our hike we headed into the town of Chimney Rock and the boys had a great time searching for gems at a stocked bucked panning shop. They are working through identifying the different rocks they found.
