Seuss-field - I mean Springfield

We spent a day or so in New London and then button hooked back north to Springfield, MA.  Sweet got her yarn fix at WEBS and we all explored the Springfield Museum campus of 5 museums.  Springfield is where Dr. Seuss grew up and many of his experiences in the city are reflected in his books.
We spent a little over an hour checking out the museum with kid friendly levels as well as a "high reading" area for the adults on the second floor.  We had a conversation with The Cat in the Hat.
 We read some books!
Outside they have an amazing sculpture garden.
We also spent some time in their Natural History Museum as well as the Springfield History Museum - Did you know that Springfield was home to Friendlies, Big Y supermarket and Indian Motorcycles?
We had a good time together and even remembered Dashboard Duck this time!  Did you find him?
