Teddy Roosevelt NP - Part 2

Part 2 is brought to you by the letter O & S.

We had some adventures in the park during the day.  Some that involved saying and sometimes yelling words that start with O & S.

We started with Oh Sweet.  Pretty wildflowers on our nature hike.

And oh sweeping vista...

This was followed by OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SNAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

                Gherkin did the wise thing when he heard the rattle at the side of the path and backed up.  Dill didn't believe him at first because we were hearing grasshoppers click as well but when it rattled again when Dill rounded the corner we were convinced.

 Next we heard Oh, Oh, Oh, STOP!  We were convinced by noon that we weren't going to see any bison but Sweet spotted this one hanging out on the side of the road up the hill a bit.  We got Gherkin and KimChee out into the bed of the truck so they were high enough to see.

Next came Oh, Shucks as this beauty decided to take up two lanes of the road.

Next was Oh, Sugar.  When we came upon the Bison Jam.

Finally there was OH S*** as this happened - turn up the volume for full effect.

In all a pretty awesome day in the park and well worth the visit.  Dill can now cross North Dakota off the list, 5 cross country moves and this is the first time he made it to ND.

We decided not to do the North section of the park.  Mostly because we were all hot and cranky since it was 91 degrees at 1500.
