I'm a big kid now!
There are so many rites of passage as we get older...first car, first kiss, first speeding ticket.
When you are only 16 months old the first are a bit smaller but still savored just as much. Gherkin has decided that he is a big boy now and does not need to sit in the high chair for eating. This means that when Big D is at work Gherkin absconds with his chair for snacks and such. The best part of this photo can't be seen - since it isn't video - Gherkin's little feet were just swinging like crazy. And yes Mommy broke down and let him have a cookie - last time I use that recipe for Snicker doodles (my favorite recipe is at the end of this blog).

If this isn't the picture of pure joy I don't know what is!
Gherkin also had another first in the back yard today. No photos this time but if the weather holds I promise to take Mommy's favorite Christmas Present (Thank You Big D -Canon Digital Rebel XT) outside for photos. He learned how to climb the ladder to our play structure today. Big D was going to try to hold off till spring but Gherkin decided he was ready to go.

Why'd you say it's the last time you use that recipe to make snickerdoodles?
