Constant Supervision
Constant n: something invariable or unchanging
Yes, this is how I found Gherkin the other day during nap time. I thought it was odd that I was still hearing noise 30 minutes into the nap so I decided to investigate. He dumped all the diapers out of the big basket, removed the liner and decided it made a great seat. He had also dumped all the socks out of the little basket and thought it made a great flag! Needless to say things were cleaned up, moved out of reach, a few snuggles were given and off to sleep for the little monster.

Supervision n: a critical watching and directing
Two words never to be forgotten by a mother of a toddler!

Supervision is now a must with the sensory tub. Gherkin has figured out how to open the tub all on his own, so it is now stored behind a gate. On the plus side, since he can open it, he can also close it up when he is all done.

Much can be said for the need of constant supervision, however accidents do happen. Gherkin took a tumble into the baseboard heater - right across the nose and left eye. A bummer of a look for a while but he looked just like a football player on Sunday afternoon!
I'm not sure if you can say being a rock hound is genetic but I am beginning to think so. Gherkin spent an afternoon "collecting" rocks out of the garden and piling them up on the picnic table.
Lots of adventures on deck for the next couple of months. Hopefully Gherkin will continue to sleep this nicely in the car!
Gherkin has also picked the winner for the Super Bowl! Go Patriots!
In a little side note...
I have decided to start collecting "mommy-isms". You know, those things that make you realise that you really are a mommy and life will just never be the same.
This week's "mommy-ism"...
You know you are a mommy when you use the plastic backed bib as a coaster!
