Happy Halloween

The greatest plans of mice and men...
I had these great plans to have Halloween photos posted on of all days Halloween. Who would guess that there are so many choices to make when it comes to Halloween? First of all the costume must be picked out. Since Gherkin did his best to be a Pickle last year we decided that something new must be tried...

But it was finally settled...A scarecrow he would be!

It took a little bit of convincing - he wasn't sure right off.

But then he became seriously intent upon guarding the pumpkins.

Finally he got that "darn" hat off and was able to take a moment to relax with Mommy!

A little bit of development news...

Gherkin continues to grow faster than I can ever imagine. He is working on cutting all 4 one year molars at one time which has made for some very sleepless nights and days. Speaking of sleep - I was so not ready for this transfer to a 30 minute nap in the morning and 1.5 hour nap in the afternoon. Mommy needs to get things done!

This week has been the "button" week. If it has a button on it it must be pushed (including mommy's stress button). He especially loves the fan, heating pad and of course the remote. This is why he has asked Santa for a Poppin' Pals Toy. His other favorite activity right now is sneaking the broom out of the utility closet and getting to work. Though it is a major danger to all around it is a great indication that he likes a clean house (Big D is very proud).
