GPS die - cruel deaths
Unexpected stops are sometimes the best stops
Caves are cool (literally!)
We transited from our first night out in Western Virginia to Mammoth Caves in Kentucky. On the way we stopped in Tennessee
We had an unexpected stop at the Cumberland Gap when Amma and Poppie's GPS died. What's that you didn't know that Amma and Poppie are joining us on this adventure. After they took 5 weeks and 8000+ miles from Oregon to Virginia they are headed back west with us. They will be with us for most of the journey but also have some adventures of their own.

It was a long morning to get Gherkin into the cave but well worth it in the end. We had a lot of fun, but needed naps when we got back.
