Over the summer we re-connected with Triple L who was a cadet at the Academy while we were there. He and some friends actually spent the night at our place the weekend before Gherkin was born. Pregnant Mommy one Sunday and a Gherkin the next week at church. He is now a pilot at the local Air Station so he invited us out for a visit.

Gherkin was pretty interested in everything that was going on. Though running on the tarmac seemed to take precedence over the 65' helicopter he was sitting in. Although listed as an HH60 it is 65' long - I checked the specs!

Triple L invited us all to sit in the cockpit though Gherkin was the only one to take him up on the offer. I said I must remain true to my man and blue and can't cross over to the dark side.

Many thanks to Triple L for our visit. It's nice to see the helicopters we watch from Amma and Poppie's front window up close and personal. We wish you clear skies and safe flights!
