First Day of School 2010
Today brought the first day of school for Gherkin. We switched Preschools over the summer so he was excited to meet some new friends. He started the morning with a good breakfast - since we all know it's the most important meal of the day!
Then we got dressed and attempted the annual first day of school photo shoot...Things didn't go so well.
I wanted him to stand by his backpack and smile - this was the quick glance as he ran the other way!
He finally loaded up with his new coat and old back pack and was ready to go!
Today was spent with the parents remaining at school which was good since we all got to meet one another and also see which parents went with which kid. Gherkin transitioned fairly quickly but had difficulty pulling away from playing to do the coloring activities of his place mat and attendance star. I think this is the start of a great year!
