After about 12 hours of travel time we finally made it to Oregon. Gherkin was all about needing to move, Mommy could almost smile. We spent the first 24 hours or so in Portland visiting Uncle A and Auntie V. They didn't have the largest collection of children's toys so Gherkin made up his own.

With a little help he got a pretty tall stack.

Sunday night we went out to Astoria to stay with Amma and Poppie. After a little business on Monday (the reason for the trip) we were off to Seaside to enjoy the "tourist" stuff.

Gherkin loves the "up and down" and as soon as we got in sight of it he started yelling "My Turn!"

Unlike last time, he got off the horse a little easier; the screaming didn't start till we were almost out of the building. After the "up and down" we headed down the beach. Gherkin got to swing and walked down to the water. It was a very low tide so there were lots of clam diggers out on the beach.

Today we are staying safe in the house as 30+ MPH winds blast around us. We are supposed to have rain (surprise, surprise) for the next 3 days.
