Is March over already?
I couldn't let March slip by without at least one post so here is the quick recap of the entire month. Don't blink like I did. I think it went by way to fast!!!
Big D came home for a brief port call at the start of the month. Gherkin was excited to play LEGOS with him since Mommy refuses to have them out most of the time. We got this set for Big D's birthday - way cool that the cutter almost looks like Big D's.
After Big D left Gherkin got sick. It started with a tummy bug (the child who never sleeps in the morning took two naps and then another 2 hour nap in the afternoon). By the end of the week it had compounded into a screaming fest one night only to realize that he had double ear infections.
Yes, this is the way we roll on the beach here in the PNW. Hat, heavy coat, gloves! Gherkin had a blast playing in the sand while we waited for Big D's boat to go by on his return - too bad they blew past the beach long before we got there.
New tradition at the Pickle Barrel. Saturday Night Pizza Night. We make dough from scratch and then add toppings. We have a hard time keeping Gherkin from eating all the toppings before they make it onto the pizza. Many thanks to our BV buddies for getting us hooked on this!
Toward the end of the month Mommy and Big D headed north to Victoria for a little R&R. Amma and Poppie took care of Gherkin (all survived). We left the car stateside and enjoyed Victoria on foot. Lots of walking in three days!
Out to the Butchart Gardens, 100 years of wonder. It is definitely a place to go more than once since everything blooms at different times.
Back home and Gherkin is busy enjoying the spring weather. The wind is whistling, the rain pouring and in the breaks we try to get out and see the sunshine. Gherkin was busy blowing bubbles today - lots of fun - too bad they raced away before he could catch any.
