Happy Valentines Day - Late
We took a few moments to celebrate Valentines Day with weekend. Since all our usual babysitters were tied up with other things we had a nice dinner together (candles and sparkling cider). We then went to the church for the Youth's Dessert Fundraiser (since that's where our babysitters were). The youth are raising money for a mission trip to Mexico. On Tuesday a special gift came from Amma and Poppie - a Poppie Puzzle! Gherkin thought it was way cool!
We are starting the bed transitions around here. Mommy has spent the last week making sheets and mattress pads for Gherkin's new (third generation) youth bed. We have also come to accept that he has outgrown the pack and play - the kid uses it like a jungle gym. I happened to find this travel bed at the local resale shop. It should be perfect for the trip cross country!
In preparation for our trip west we are starting to filter out some of our junk. Big D has decided that he can part with his weight bench and weights that I have never seen him use in the 5 years we have been in the same house. Gherkin decided to help move the weights around after we took photos for Craig's list.
