Happy Easter

Happy Easter From The Pickle Barrel!

This Easter was the first time Gherkin was able to experience much of the festivities and food of the holiday. We started with the quintessential PEEP. He thought it was great fun...
And then the stuffing started! Mean old Mommy put an end to the sugar rush and put him to work.
In all actuality he stole the vacuum from Big D!
Gherkin had a blast coloring eggs!
For the most part he was able to dip on his own.
The last part of Saturday included an egg hunt, for Gherkin and four of our sponsor cadets. Gherkin had his own special area...And being the child that likes order he was more than willing to put the eggs into the basket...
But he felt the need to run off and steal eggs from the big kids... And back to the house for pre-Easter Dinner!
We had a wonderful Easter Sunday with family and friends. My new goal is to figure out how to calm him after so much excitement. After sleeping for the car ride home he spent 10PM-2AM wide awake! We keep finding ways that Gherkin is more like Mommy - shhh don't tell Amma that he has started sucking his fingers.
Blessings to All!

I think Easter is extra fun with wee ones. After Anderson figured out the whole hunting for Easter Eggs thing, it took a life of it's own. He asks about Easter Eggs everyday now.

So you've got a little OCD night-owl. Congratulations! :)

How many years of finger-sucking until you duct-tape a woolen mitten to his hand in the night?
